Oh, Baby - 20 Week Update

Baby Updates

Halfway there! Halfway there! Craziness. We had our anatomy scan this week and everything looked great. We saw hands, feet, spine and all the important stuff. We aren’t finding out the sex, though, so they kept that part a secret for us.

Baby is getting big, too–I can actually feel it moving on both sides of my belly now, not just in one little spot. Baby is about 10 inches long and the size of a banana. That sounds huge to me. I can’t wait to meet this baby! 🙂

Weight Gained

I haven’t weighed myself in weeks. Oops.

Exercise

Still taking it easy so my back pain doesn’t flare up again. I haven’t “exercised” in about a month, but I take a lot of long walks and we went on a 20 mile bike ride to celebrate Kevin’s birthday last week. Surprisingly, I wasn’t in crippling pain after. As long as I keep up with my boring physical therapy exercises, I can keep it under control. I still have some pain, but it is so much better than it was. I’d love to get back to the gym, but I don’t want to push it.

Pregnancy Symptoms

Nothing new. 🙂 Still A LOT of burping, albeit less than before, back pain and having a hard time getting comfortable. It is what it is. I am just so ready for this baby to get here!

Food Aversions

Nothing much. Milk, fro yo, cereal and that jar of peanut butter that still reminds me of morning sickness.

Food Cravings

Ice cream, of course, and I’ve really been into salad +carrots and hummus. It’s pretty funny because carrots were one of my biggest aversions the first time I was pregnant.

Sleep

Still going well. I have to switch sides every so often when my hip starts to hurt from lying on one side too long, but it’s easy to get back to sleep.

Looking Forward to

Getting back in the gym. I am hoping for even some light workouts in the next week or two.

Baby/Pregnancy Related Purchases

No, but I did share some of my new mom necessities last week on the blog–I cannot wait to use that Fujifilm Instax camera to take some cute pictures when the baby arrives!

Any Pregnancy Dreams

No, still just having a lot of weird dreams. I think I did have a dream someone else was pregnant, though.

Any Baby Movement?

Yes, a ton! I can feel the hands and the feet kicking around in there now and I love it.
