Oh, Baby - 33 Week Update

Say hello to baby pineapple! I honestly have no idea if my attempts at getting baby to move from the transverse position worked or not. I can feel baby parts when I push on my belly, but I’m not sure what parts I’m feeling? I did do my handstands in the pool at the waterpark and a few other positions to see if they helped baby settle into a head down position, but I won’t really know until my next midwife appointment next week.

Weight Gained

Still at 166, so no gain this week. I think there just isn’t any room left for my stomach, so I don’t eat as much because the baby is taking up all the room!

Exercise

Just walking and yoga until baby gets here. I am so sore in the mornings so I really try to do some stretches when I wake up. I am so nervous about going back to CrossFit after I have the baby because it’s been so long. I’m sure it’ll be quite humbling. πŸ™‚ Of course, I get lots of exercise running after this cutie, who also wanted a bump photo this week.

Pregnancy Symptoms

I am seeing aΒ slight improvement with my acne by using theΒ Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser. I just use it once a day and use Cetaphil the rest of the time. Since it is more gentle, it seems to be helping without making my skin mad. My midwife did say not to use salicylic acid in the first or second trimester, but my baby is big/developed enough now that it won’t have any harmful effects. Maybe if I decided to drink the whole bottle or something?

I am also SUPER swollen! My fingers and ankles are crazy swollen, like I can’t even bend my fingers all the way sometimes. πŸ™

Food Aversions

Nope. Luckily…

Food Cravings

This week, it’s been cereal. Instead of the 6 or 8 boxes we used to keep in the house, I am fine with buying one box of cereal a week to have as a snack every now and then. We used to be cereal hoarders.

Sleep

This should give you a good picture of the sleep situation. 6 hours of sleep, 18 times rolling back and forth on the bed, and 58 minutes awake/restless. Sounds fun, right? Thanks for reminding me, FitBit.

Baby/Pregnancy Related Purchases

Yes, we finally got it together and got all the things we need for baby. Mind you, these are mostly things we should have saved from Baby #1, but we were so sure we only wanted one that we got rid of a lot of stuff. πŸ™‚ Hindsight is 20/20, I guess. We bought a new crib mattress, a few toys, socks, sleeper sack, bottles…all that boring stuff that you have to have. πŸ™‚

Any Pregnancy Dreams

No. Still.

Any Baby Movement?

Yes, mostly I feel the baby trying to break my ribs. πŸ™‚
