Whole30 Day 14

I had to be out the door by 7:00am this morning so I knew I would have to get up painfully early to get to get my swim in and get ready in time. So I dragged myself over to the pool at 5:00am and swam for about 30 minutes. For breakfast I had the rest of the Pizza Stuffed Sweet Potato and Southwestern Frittata. I managed to get out the door on time and had a healthy, filling breakfast.

I knew we were low on a few things at home so I stopped by the store mid-morning. Lara Bars just happened to be on sale for $1.00 each so I stocked up and ate one on my way back to work. I also stopped for my caffeine in the form of an Iced Americano.

For lunch I polished off what was left of last night's dinner, Everyday Paleo's Puerto Rican Beef, and my afternoon snack was an apple and some jerky. Kevin is entering his beef jerky in the culinary competition in the state fair in a couple of weeks and I think he is a shoe-in! What does that expression even mean? I don't know what it means but I know he makes the best jerky I have ever tasted.

I had an interesting evening as I just happened to be attending the Motley Crue and Kiss concert with a friend. I would not normally jump at a Motley Crue and Kiss concert, but the tickets were paid for, we had a really nice suite and I just wanted to spend time with my friend!

We had dinner at Doc Crowe's-yes, I just ate lunch there yesterday and yes I ordered the exact same thing. I did actually ask our server if I should order my sandwich without the bun or just order like a normal person and not eat the bun. He suggested I just get the brisket platter and I told him I get the sandwich because I like the pickles and onions. Turns out the platter comes with pickles and onions, too, so my problem was solved. But apparently my line of questioning confused him and he brought me the sandwich anyway. Another bun goes to waste...

This was the view from our suite

The concert was rockin' - I couldn't believe how good both bands still were. They really put on a great show. And I may have been the only one there, but the only thing I had all night was water. Whole30 or not it was a weeknight, I was driving and I knew I had an early morning waiting for me.
