Whole30 Day 13

Today started off with another trip to Clark Floyd CrossFit. I had a Lara Bar on the way there. Since we are pretty crunched for time on the mornings we work out, we made breakfast last night so all we had to do after the gym was heat it up. We had Everyday Paleo's Southwestern Frittata again, one of my favorites! We also had leftover pizza stuffed sweet potatoes.

Kevin and I had a little lunch date at a local smokehouse, Doc Crowe's. I feel so guilty sometimes when we go out because my orders are so jacked up, but I ordered a brisket sandwich with a side of green beans and a side salad without dressing or croutons. I can't decide if it is more annoying to the server if I order a sandwich with no bun or if I just order the sandwich an don't eat the bun. I think I am going to ask.

Kevin made jerky last night so I packed some for an afternoon bite, along with an apple and some almonds.

It was just an Everyday Paleo day in our house because for dinner we made Sarah's Puerto Rican Beef. When we first started eating this way we made this dish all the time. The flavors are amazing and it doesn't take too long to put together.

My life is starting to sound like a broken record because it was another night watching the Olympics and eating fruit with almond butter. I am almost halfway through this Whole30 and through the process of documenting my journey I have noticed that almond butter finds a way to sneak itself into my life pretty much daily. I think I will eliminate nut butters for the remainder of my Whole30 just to force myself to mix it up a bit. That will be tough, but if I can make all of the other changes I have made I should be able to do this. And I don't plan to give it up forever, but I shouldn't rely on it everyday. Almond butter is not one of my best friends, it is just a food. :)
